Giant Chilli

I have always fancied having a go at ‘giant veg’. This year I have grown ‘gigantomo’ giant tomatoes and long chillies. Here is my long chilli – quite a way off the World’s longest chilli which is a record 505mm long – grown by Jürg Wiesli (Switzerland) in 2018.

For next year I have sourced some onion and cabbage seeds via the Giant Veg community. The onion seeds are ‘Peter Glazebrook Onion Strain’. Peter is the previous holder of the Worlds Largest Onion for 6 consecutive years with the largest weighing just over 18 pounds. The cabbage seeds are ‘Cornish Giant Cabbage’ which has grown the UK Record 124lb cabbage.
