    Return from holiday: how bad can the plot be? (end of August)

    We have been away for a week on holiday. Although we have been active at the plot before going away, there has not been any general weeding for 26 days bar clearing a few beds to pop in autumn/winter crops. This can happen at this time of year as between all the rain showers we are busy picking crops. How bad can the weeds be? What crops are ready?

    Over the last 12-18 months there has been much change to our growing space including erecting a polytunnel and fruitcage, a complete overhaul of one half plot and clearing of a new half plot.

    September tour of the plot

    After quite a stressful week it was great to get down to the plot! The second crops we started in July are doing well. September is still peak cropping time for us so it is very busy. In this video we give a full tour of all three plots.

    We take a tour around our allotment plots at the beginning of September looking at what crops have done well and what hasn’t.
